Merry Christmas

Dustin got a new car!! It's a 2008 Chevrolet HHR. He just got it today. Mike and Paula brought it down to us. We bought it from Eagleson's in Olney, so we had to have it "delivered." It has remote start so it will be really nice for Dustin in the mornings.

Mason and Daddy playing with the new John Deere set that Aunt Ashley and Uncle Jason got him for Christmas. I know it pained Jason to buy a John Deere set but look at how much he loves it!!

Mason also got a Thomas the Train tank engine set. He loves it too!

Avery got her very first Cabbage Patch Doll! She likes it a lot. She also got a really neat all cloth doll from Great-Grandma Connie. I don't have any pictures of it though because we didn't take a single picture with our camera this Christmas. I know, I know, we're terrible parents.

Mason got a doctors set also. He not only doctors humans, but dolls too.

Thanks everyone for such a great Christmas!! The kids had so much fun. I got a new laptop thanks to the generosity of my darling husband and Mike and Paula!! You guys have no idea how much I appreciate it!! So, I am hoping to update the blog more often.
I will get pictures of the kids playing with all their new goodies and publish them soon! Thanks again everyone!

Daddy Home!!

Everyday when Dustin gets home from work, Mason yells, "Daddy Home!!" and runs to the banister to watch him come in the door. Avery has started following his lead. They both get very excited when Daddy gets home!

Look, Mason can spell out his name!!!

Mason the Big Helper

Mason was helping Dustin put some hooks in the pantry last night. He really wanted the real hammer but settled for the pretend one. He kept pulling out the tape measure and saying "I'm measuring!" He's so cute!

Avery sat in her highchair eating Cheerios for almost half an hour while I cooked supper. She was content to just watch and eat. I can't believe how big she is!!

The Huber's were over on Sunday afternoon. Avery and Alden were hanging out on the floor. Avery kept crawling over to him and laying down next to him. She wouldn't do it for the camera but this one was cute nonetheless.

Dustin has been working on http://www.fritschle.us/ and making it into a blog for me to start using. I have not posted on there yet but he has. So, if you would like to see some more pictures of the kids, follow the link above. Someday I will start posting there but I will let you all know when I do. Until then, you might check it out every now and then to see if Dustin has put anything new out there. Leave it to Dustin to do something different!!

Trick or Treat!!

Happy Halloween!! Sorry it has taken me a while to get these pictures posted. Mason dressed up as a turtle. This is the only picture I have of him wearing his hat. He still looked cute without it. Erin and Spencer Davis came trick or treating with us. We all had a good time.

Avery was a pumpkin. She didn't even seem to mind the hood being up on her outfit.

Avery was snoozing away while the boys collected candy.

Spencer was a train engineer. He was really cute. They both loved getting candy for no particular reason.

More Kid Pictures

The Hubers were here last night. Of course, the kids had to have their baths together. Alden was in the tub with Avery but none of the pictures of the two of them together turned out. Maybe next time!
I think Avery likes the tree. She is fascinated by it. She spent the whole first night it was in the house exploring it.

Mason loves the phone. He's like a teenager only he talks to Mamaw and Papaw instead of girls. It will happen soon enough though.

Kid Pictures

I know it's been a long time since I've updated, so, here are some new pictures. They are not of anything in particular, just pictures I've taken over the last couple of weeks. Avery has two teeth on the bottom and has been running a temp all week because of them. We had to take her to the doctor on Thursday so she could go back to daycare. She weighed 15lbs. 15 oz. Mason is doing so great going on the potty! We have only had a couple of accidents the whole week! He has been so good about telling us or just going by himself. It's hard to believe how fast they are growing up!

Mason' House

Our neighbor, Amy, came to our door one evening last week and asked an interesting question. She asked if she could give Mason something that he would absolutely love but we would hate. I asked if it made noise or was dirty. She said no. So, I said to bring it on over. Apparently, her water heater had gone bad and she had to buy a new one. Mason got to keep the box. Dustin cut a door in the side and cut windows along the side and top. Then, we let him color all over it with crayons. He loved it. I say loved because it got taken to the curb on Monday. It was fun while it lasted. Hope came over and played too. They had a good time.

This was right after he saw it for the first time.

And these were after he found out he could climb in and out of it. Isn't it amazing how simple things are so fascinating?
Avery posing in her ExerSaucer.

Avery can officially crawl. She started last Wednesday. She gets wherever she wants to go in record time! Mason is really learning how to share his toys! He is doing really good sharing. I tried to take videos of Avery crawling but every time I would start recording, she would just stop and look at me. Oh well, you will just have to see her in person!

Avery's Stats

Avery went to the doctor today for her 6 month well baby visit. She is doing just fine. She weighs 14 lbs. 14 oz. and is 24 1/4" long. She is in the 25th percentile for weight and 5th for height. In other words, she is still short and her weight is becoming more proportionate to her height which apparently is a good thing.

We went to Olney over the weekend. You can see from the picture what kept Mason (and Papaw) busy. He has so much fun riding his tractor. Papaw Sanders came over on Sunday and Mason had so much fun showing off on his tractor. I think he thought it was really cool to have both Papaws together.

Avery and I went with Mamaw to the Fall Festival on Saturday. We had a good time even though the Fall Festival was kind of dull. Avery was such a little angel. She stayed in the stroller the entire time and never cried. She just watched the people and napped.

Sunday Fun

Today was Hope and Alden Huber's baptism. I am honored to be Alden's godmother. Unfortunately, I took no pictures of the baptism, so you'll have to look at The Huber's blog to see those pics. I did take a few pictures of Dustin and Avery at the lunch following the service.

Avery was pretty in pink. She was such a good girl this morning. She slept through most of the church service.

Both kids really enjoy the aquarium. Mason really loves the frogs. He was trying to show Avery where they were.

Looks like Daddy has his hands full, huh?

Mason's Baby

Mason was watching me feed Avery cereal this morning and kept wanting to put his baby in her Bumbo seat. I finished feeding Avery, and Mason immediately put his baby in her seat. He went into the kitchen and wanted me to make his baby cereal. Eventually, he settled for an empty bowl and spoon. He proceeded to "feed" his baby. When he was finished, he went into the bathroom and got a washcloth for the baby's face because that's what I always do for Avery. He is such a good "daddy" to his baby!!

Avery and the Sippy Cup

Avery drank from a sippy cup for the first time yesterday. She did surprisingly well. She had a little trouble holding it but no problems drinking.

Mason wanted Avery to lay next to him. He really wants to try to hold her but you can see that she is just too big for him now. They are so cute together. She watches him so intently and just smiles and laughs when he talks to her.

It was a day of firsts for Avery. She gummed her first apple last night. She is just like her daddy and brother--she loved it.

I don't have a picture to prove it, but Mason pooped on the potty all by himself tonight! He is such a big boy! It sure would be nice to not have to change two kids' diapers :).

Bath Time!

So these were taken the other night during bath time. It was the first time Mason and Avery took a bath together. Mason did very well with her in the tub. He didn't splash or anything. Avery was difficult to bathe though because she kept trying to roll over and watch Mason. It will be so nice when she can sit up. Bath time will really be fun then!
