She Walks...and Dances

Mason got a new truck this weekend. I went to Grace's with my friend Jamie from work and picked Mason up a new John Deere truck. It is not really a propane truck but he thinks it is and loves it. He has slept with it the last two nights.

Avery tasted her very first sucker this weekend. She thought it was yummy. The big news of the weekend is that she is walking! She started walking more towards the end of the week. By the weekend, she was walking everywhere.

New Pictures and Stats

This picture is from Avery's birthday. Just by looking at her eyes you can tell she didn't feel well. Her fever finally went away on Wednesday evening. It was a long 3 days! She went back to the doctor on Thursday for her 1 year well baby visit. She weighs 17 lbs. 14 oz. She's in the 5th percentile for height and 10th percentile for weight.
So, we got Avery healthy for all of one day, then Mason decided to get sick. He threw up all over his bed and then our bed Friday night. What a great start to the weekend. However, by Saturday afternoon, he was fine. It could have been much worse.

I'm ecstatic to report that my laptop is functional again!! Mason "helped" Daddy fix it today. Look under his hand; the mouse is super tiny! Dustin got it a long time ago at work (from a drug rep--thanks Zetia!) so that Mason could use it someday. He was super excited about it.

I love this picture!

Dustin took the kids outside to play while I cooked supper. They love being outdoors so it's always easy to make them forget that they're hungry! Our neighbors (not Amy and Audra, surprisingly enough) have some baby ducks that they're taking care of so they invited us over to play with them. I wish I would have had my camera! The kids LOVED them. Especially Avery. She crawled all over the ground trying to chase them! Mason was really excited that he got to hold them. We had a nice ending to a not so nice week!

Avery's Birthday Weekend

I apologize, but these are in no particular order--

This past weekend, we all went to Olney to celebrate Avery's 1st birthday! We had such a great time visiting with everyone and Avery had a great weekend. Avery had a party with Dustin's family on Saturday evening at Joe's; then on Sunday afternoon, we went to Derek and Miranda's house for a party for Lucas and Avery. It was a busy weekend, but lots of fun. Paula made cupcakes for Avery's party at Joe's and her "smash" cake at the Sanders'. They were so cute! I really appreciate the time and effort that they took. Thanks to everyone for coming to her parties and for the wonderful gifts. I will have to get some pictures of her playing with them and post them soon.

Avery's Birthday Weekend--Cont'd

Here are some pictures from Avery and Lucas' party on Sunday afternoon. Aunt Miranda made her birthday cake and it was great! She got some really cute outfits, a fabulous hat and toys. We had a great afternoon and even got to enjoy some time outside. Thanks everyone!

Super Saturday

Avery found a new pillow. Rose is such a good dog!

My pictures uploaded backwards this time! Just when I thought I had it all figured out! Oh well. We played outside when I got home this evening. The kids had a good time. Avery is really enjoying spending time outdoors. She sat in the grass for the longest time. Mason refused to let me take his picture while were outside so I'll have to try again next time.
So this last picture was from yesterday. Dustin and Mason made Thomas the Train into Thomas the Tank. Mason thought it was the coolest thing. He pushed it all over the house.
I just noticed that Avery has the same outfit on in several pictures. No, she does not need clothes she just wears these a lot because they are really cute but kind of stained. So, they're perfect for playing outside and potentially getting blood on them (surgery).

Avery Update

Avery is doing very well after her surgery. She was such a big girl. We were expecting her to be really fussy after surgery but she hardly even cried. She just really wanted to eat. So after some milk and a nutri-grain bar, she was good to go.
The rocking chair has become her favorite chair in the house. Probably because it's the only one she can get herself into and out of!
