My little cowboy

Well, we all survived the earthquake yesterday. Unlike Mommy and Daddy, Avery didn't mind the early wake up call. She slept right through it! :) Mason was in Olney with Grandma and Grandpa. Apparently, it didn't take him too long to get back to sleep. Thankfully, everyone is fine.
Mason has a new toy to play on at Grandma and Grandpa's house. From the looks of the picture, he really likes it. It will be even harder to get him to go inside now! As you can see from the second picture, he really likes his cowboy boots. Dustin thought he would look extra cute in his plaid shirt. He looks like a little cowboy. If only his cowboy hat fit it would be the perfect ensemble.
Avery is doing very well. She weighed 9 lbs. last Wednesday when I took her to the doctor. She is changing so much! She listens intently when you talk to her and follows things with her eyes. I can't wait until I get that first smile! (Well, a smile that's not because of gas or a prelude to spit up.)

Mason would love to be outside but it is too cold. We're just trying to keep him occupied indoors this weekend.
Avery is doing well. She weighed in at 8 lbs. 13 oz. on Thursday when I took her to get her weighed. We finally got her diaper rash looking better. It's still a little red but it's getting much better.

Well, we've been home almost one week and things are going well. Mason is really proud of his little sister. Everyday when he gets home from daycare he goes straight to her. He is a little clingy but that is to be expected. Avery is doing great. We went to the doctor Monday morning and she weighed 7 lbs. 7 oz. She had gained 2 oz. since leaving the hospital. Dustin went back to work today so Avery and I are home alone. It has been a pretty peaceful day with the exception of a diaper fiasco this morning. But, those things happen and it was nothing a bath wouldn't take care of! Hope everyone is doing well.

Welcome Avery Lynn!

Avery Lynn Fritschle was born March 17, 2008 at 1:56 pm. She was 7 lbs. 12 oz. and 19 inches long. Avery and I got home from the hospital yesterday (Thursday) around 11:30 am. It is so nice to be home! Mason is doing pretty well adjusting to being a big brother. He wants to hold her all the time. We are all doing well. I will try to do better about updating the blog. Sorry it has been so long.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! Mason has had a wonderful time this year. He mastered the art of unwrapping gifts and I'm sure he'll be sad when he realizes that he's done for awhile. However, he received a lot of great gifts. Dustin and I will probably enjoy some of them too. (the Legos and the MagnaDoodle especially) Hope you all have a great Christmas. Sorry we couldn't be in Olney. Thanks to everyone for changing plans around so we could all be together over the weekend. That means a lot to us. Lots of love to everyone!!!

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We all had a good time in Olney last weekend. Mason had fun at the Christmas parade. I don't think he was feeling too well that evening but he seemed to enjoy it anyway. I know he had a good time at Grandma and Grandpa's and had fun with Aunt Ashley and Uncle Jason.

Sorry it has been so long! There is nothing new going on here. I was cleaning up the nursery the other day and found Mason's do-rag. Dustin and I thought he needed to wear it. He disagreed. :) We are all doing fine. We're looking forward to Thanksgiving and getting to visit with everyone. The food will be good too!! (says the pregnant one!) Hope all is well; we'll see you all soon!!

The boys were very tired Sunday afternoon
