Kids being cute

Avery got her ears pierced yesterday. Although you can't really see her ears that well in these pictures, they are so cute. She is doing fine with them. She lets me clean them and doesn't seem to mind them at all. Her earrings are her birthstone, aquamarine, so of course I dressed her in blue to go to daycare today. Grandma got her some pretty bows to go in her hair but I couldn't get one to stay in this morning and I was in a hurry; so we had to forgo the bow.

Mason is such a ham. He now says "cheese" when you want him smile for the camera. Hope Huber taught him that!!

We have the cutest kids, huh?

Mason's Sick

So, Mason is not feeling well today. Can you tell? I don't think he has let me hold him like this in over a year. He is running a fever and generally just feels icky. I wish he could tell me what hurts!

These pictures were taken on Monday evening. Obviously he felt fine then. He thought that he could give Avery a ride on his back. They were so cute. Avery kept laughing and smiling while taking her ride.

Fun Outside

Dustin and Mason played in the pool the other evening. I don't know which one of them had more fun.

Yes, Mason is naked. He stripped down in the backyard and climbed right in. He didn't want to wait while I went in and got his trunks!

Here are some pictures of our new table and chairs for the deck. I'm glad Dustin got them. We've spent a lot of time outside this week. We ate dinner outside almost every night.

Avery is eating foods like a champ. She has tried and liked squash, carrots, sweet potatoes and peas. The peas were her least favorite but she still eats them. She is getting so big!!

Happy Birthday, Dustin!!

We had a cookout and kiddie pool party for Dustin's birthday. Will, Erin and Spencer Davis and Alex, Joy, Hope and Alden Huber came over to eat and play.

Avery had a good time in her bouncy seat while we watched the older kids play in the pool.
The kids took a little bit to get excited about the pool but soon enough, they were having a great time. The boys insisted on having the mower in the pool. They kept getting out and fighting over it but strangely enough, once it was in the pool, they didn't fight at all.
It was impossible to get all three looking at the camera at the same time.

Pretty soon, Hope got tired of all the boy activity in the pool and decided to go down the slide. With her wet butt, she went down pretty fast. She was having so much fun!

Mason and Spencer preferred the pool. They play so well together. Spencer is fearless in the water. He loved putting his head in and making bubbles with his mouth. We couldn't believe how brave he was.

Even Avery got in the pool! She wasn't too sure at first but pretty soon she was smiling and having fun. It was fun while it lasted!

The girls were hanging out on the floor after a tough day outside with the boys.

Avery loves the Exersaucer. We have to put a towel around her to keep her from wobbling too much but she doesn't seem to mind.

I don't know if he's helping or hindering the grass pick-up.

Yes, he is really that dirty. He played hard outside with Daddy.

She found her toes!!

She likes teething toys...a lot.

Redneck Boy

Mason decided he should eat his Lucky Charms while wearing his John Deere hat. He wore it the entire time he ate breakfast.

Avery sat at the table with us while we ate breakfast. She likes to see what's going on.

Dustin wrapped Mason's towel around his waste after his bath. He thought he was really big stuff strutting around. But, when he took it off, he hid behind the chair and peed on the floor!

Avery went to the doctor today. She weighed 13 pounds 6 ounces and is 22 1/2 inches long. She is 50th percentile for weight and 5th percentile for height. Yep, that's right...5th. What can I say, we have short kids! It's no wonder the 3-6 month clothes are still kind of big on her! She is showing off her size 2 diapers in this picture. I can't believe how fast she is growing.

Wait, wait...don't get too excited. All he wants to do is sit on his potty. I guess that's a start. He likes to take Dustin's magazines and look at them on the potty. Like father like son. He wants to sit on his potty pretty much every time one of us sits on ours.

I just thought this picture was really cute!

Rice cereal...yummy...

Avery tried rice cereal for the first time tonight. She loved it! I was going to hold her off for awhile on foods but the last couple of days she has been extra hungry. So, I thought it was worth a try. I was kind of surprised at how well she took to it. She even stayed pretty clean. Dustin and I are both sad because our babies are getting so big so fast!!

Mason was the supervisor. He kept acting like he wanted to try it but then would refuse. I was willing to let him try it. Of course, he probably would have liked it now. He hated it as a baby.

Yummy!!
